In year two as the Diggers head coach Brush qualified 8 wrestlers for the state tournament placed 4 and had their 23rd Top Ten Team finish at state since 1990. Wyatt Pfau became the 39th State Champion in Brush history he was joined in the finals by Caleb Cox who finished as a State Runner-Up. Oswaldo Nunez placed 3rd and Nick Wellen placed 5th. The Diggers had 6 All Conference wrestlers - Thomas Mettlen, Ricky Mendez, Nick Wellen, Oswaldo Nunez, Caleb Cox, Wyatt Pfau and 5 more Honorable Mentions- Austin Curtis, Erick Urbina, Hunter Forsythe, Chase Barnett, and Colin Cole.
3 athletes were selected to compete in the CHSCA All State Dual- Colin Cole, Caleb Cox and Ricky Mendez. Coach Quinlin was also selected to coach in the 2018 CHSCA All State Dual.
The Team finished the year with a 3.0 team GPA.
In his first year at the helm for The Diggers Coach Quinlin’s team qualified 6 with 2 Caleb Cox and Wyatt fourth place finishers along with 4 wrestlers selected to the All Conference team Caleb Cox, Colin Cole, Oswaldo Nunez, Jeron Petterson and 3 more selected Honorable Mention Jayde Queen, Wyatt Pfau, and Nick Wellen. The team finished the year with a 3.25 team GPA.
As an assistant for the Beetdiggers Coach Quinlin helped the Diggers to 5 top 10 finishes at the state tournament, highlighted by a 2015 2nd place Team Finish. During that time he also helped coach 5 state champions and 7 state runner ups and 112 state qualifiers. He was in charge of nutrition and strength and conditioning.
Coach Quinlin coached the Brush Middle Regional and State teams from 2009-2013 and helped lead The Crusaders to a 2011 Colorado Middle School State Championship. Beating out 308 other middle schools and crowning multiple state champs.
Coach Quinlin is a Project Superintendent for Buildings By Design.
Coach Quinlin is married to Carmen and they have 3 children. Riggs -19, Maddie-16 and Cael-3
Assistant Coach- Chad Cox
As an assistant from Diggers Coach Cox has and been instrumental in the upper and middle weights development and success. He has help coach 3 State Champions and 3 state runner ups, 8 other placer and 40 state qualifiers.
Chadwin achieved All American honors at the NCAA Division II National Championships in 1989 as a true freshman for the Colorado School of Mines.
Chadwin qualified to compete at the 1991 US Olympic Festival (University Division) Chadwin competed at 180.5 lbs but suffered a neck injury against the 177lb NCAA Division I Runner up that ended his competitive career with 2 years of eligibility remaining. After being injured Cox joined the CSM coaching staff and helped coach 2 NCAA DII All-Americans.
Coach Cox graduated from Colorado school of Mines in 1993 with a B.S., Engineering with Civil Specialty and owns Western Engineering Consultants, INC.
Coach Cox is married to Merrie they have 3 children. Caleb, Brooklyn and Levi.

Assistant Coach- Richie Grauberger
Coach Grauberger has been vital to the Diggers success serving as the Head JV coach for the last 2 years. He is a big part of our teams success at the state and regional tournament putting together scouting reports on future opponents. After a successful high school career which included 2 regional titles and a 4th place state finish Coach Grauberger played baseball for 3 years at NJC in Sterling,CO before transferring to Evangel University in Missouri.
Coach Grauberger graduated from The University of Wyoming in Laramie,WY in 2014 with a degree in mathematics.
Coach Grauberger is a match teacher at BHS.
Coach Grauberger is married to Elena and they have 2 boys. Darrell 2 years old and John 1 year old.

Assistant Coach- Travis Lefever
Coach Lefever is a new addition to BHS Wrestling this year. Coach Lefever was a 4 time state qualifer for Wiggins High School and place twice at state for the tigers including an individual state title his senior year at 171lbs. Coach Lefever was a member of two state championship teams 1999 and 2000. The 1999 2A state championship team still holds the CHSAA record for most team points scored. After a successful career at Wiggins Lefever went on to play football and wrestle at Ft. Hays State compiling a 29-7 record before having his career cut short by injury.
